- 2009
In 2009 the Finn will be 60
years old and as part of the celebration the class will be publishing a
special anniversary book.
The concept of this book will
be a photographic history of six decades of Finn sailing, complemented by
stories, results, reports, memories, anecdotes and much more.
It is hoped to print at least
2,000 copies of this book, which will become a ‘must have’ for all Finn
sailors past and present. This landmark publication will be a fitting
tribute to a class that has had an enormous impact on International and
Olympic sailing for 60 years.

be available in July 2009 and will be available for purchase through this

WANTED: FINN PHOTOS OLD AND NEW
Now is your chance to get
your favourite Finn photos into print. The
editor is looking for as many photos and slides as possible,
especially from the early days of the class. Photos of sailors, boats,
racing...anything will be useful.
So please could you to consider
looking in your archives and letting sending in anything that you think
would be useful.
There are several ways you can
do this.

Any material sent to me will be
returned to the sender if requested.
3. Material on CD: If you don’t
want to part with the originals, but would like to help and can scan
images to disc, then please send a CD/DVD to the above address.
Please scan all photos at
maximum resolution and save them onto a CD as RGB (or greyscale if the
original was a black and white photo) jpeg files.
Finally, if you know someone
who may have old photos please send their email address of other contact
details to the Editor so he can contact them.
