Week 2005 - Results and pictures
October:
Our class is growing very slowly. We have now three boats
with carbon masts but is very expensive for us to buy equipment in Europe or
US, mostly due to transport costs. The sail that you can see in the picture
was made here in Argentina by a local sailmaker. Here is a picture of
'extreme' Finn sailing in the Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The sailor is Julian Gazzari and incredibly he did not capsize (at least not
this time). Wind was about 12 knots but it was blowing directly from land,
making it very shifty and tricky.
