2006 Cup of Spain

Once more, this traditional race was ran in Entrepenas, near Madrid, from the 29th of April to the first of May, and with 14 Finns under light and changing winds that made it really difficult to maintain a position within the fleet.

The clear favourite, Diego Fructuoso, didn't allow anybody to discuss his bid to win the Cup again, although Miguel Fernandez tried nearly everything (legal) to avoid it.

A fight also took place between positions third to seventh with three Finns finishing on even points in the end and continuous changes during the three days championship.

We also enjoyed a brotherhood dinner and decided, at the 2006 general meeting, the schedule for the rest of the year (see forum) and the main national championships for 2007.
