Finn Europeans declared open in La Rochelle

Finns gather in La Rochelle for European challenge

The 2014 Finn Senior and Junior European Championship gets under way this weekend in La Rochelle, France. To date there are 95 entries from 31 nations and with a few exceptions virtually all of the top sailors are entered for what will be the classes third senior championship at the Atlantic coast venue.

Pieter-Jan Postma seals 'personal victory' in Hyères

Pieter-Jan Postma (NED) completed the formality of winning the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères on Saturday by finishing sixth in the medal race, to take his first ever major Finn event by a convincing margin. A third for Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) was enough to take the silver while a seventh sealed the bronze for Thomas le Breton (FRA). The race was won by current world champion Jorge Zarif (BRA).
