Pieter-Jan Postma seals victory with a day to spare

Pieter-Jan Postma (NED) will go into the medal race with a 23 point lead at the ISAF sailing World Cup Hyeres after two second places on the final day of the opening series. Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) has climbed to second after winning the second race of the day while just three points behind is Thomas Le Breton (FRA). The first race was won by Josh Junior.

Postma still leads after mixed fortunes in Hyères

Mixed fortunes and high scores played with the Finn fleet on day 4 of the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères. Pieter-Jan Postma (NED) still holds a sizeable lead of 17 points from Thomas Le Breton (FRA), who won race 8, and Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) who moves up to third after two third place finishes. The first race of the day was won by Björn Allansson (SWE).

Early lead in Hyeres to Ioannis Mitakis

The 2012 European Champion Ioannis Mitakis (GRE) made the best start in the Finn class at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres, the final event in the 2013-14 series. A second and a first left him leading the 59 boat fleet after the first two races from Milan Vujasinovic (CRO) and Caleb Paine (USA). The first race was won by Jonathan Lobert (FRA).
