Information about the International University Sailing Cup and  Open Russian

 
 

International University Sailing Cup (www.iusc.ru )
Russian Students Sailing League, Russian Students Sport Union and Moscow Sailing School are pleased to invite you to the International University Sailing Cup 2017, which will be held on Klyazma and Pirogovo Lakes in Moscow on August, 14 – 21, 2017.

Equipment & format of competition

The competition will be held in classes

·         ·Finn (men, lady)
·         ·Snipe (mix – one man, one lady)
·         ·Luch (single handled dinghy for low weight sailors) (men, lady)
·          
Format of competition – fleet races.

Place:

The Championship will take place in Moscow Sailing School (www.sailingschool.ru) which hosted the 49-er World Championship, the Finn World Championship (Gold Cup) in 2005,  Junior Finn World Championships (Silver Cup) 2007 and 2011 and International University Sailing Cup 2013-2016

Program:

·         August, 14  –  Registration, Charter boats distribution,
·         August, 15  –  Registration, Charter boats distribution, Practice race
·         August, 16  –  Opening Ceremony,  Fleet Races
·         August, 17  -   Fleet Races
·         August, 18  -   Fleet Races
·         August, 19 -    Fleet Races  
·         August, 20 –   Fleet Race, Closing Ceremony
·          
Conditions of Entry:

Eligible competitors shall be a student of the country he/she represents, be at least 17 and less than 25 years of age on January 1st 2017 and be a student or postgraduate student of University. There is no Entry Fee if you do not need visa support letters.  Visa support arrangement will cost 40 Euro.

All the participants should register at the regatta web-site http://iusc.ru  before July, 15, 2017.

Charter boats can be provided for participants

Finn:

One fully equipped Finn boat (Devoti 2004, build for Gold Cup 2005) and one mast (Hit Mast, bend numbers are available)  can be provided by Moscow Sailing School to each participant for charter free of charge on demand under damage deposit of 400 Euro.  You are invited to bring your sails and personal equipment only.

Snipe:  

One fully equipped Snipe boat including rig & sails can be provided by Moscow Sailing School to each participant team for charter free of charge on demand under damage deposit of 400 Euro.  You are invited to bring your personal equipment only.

The charter boats can be provided for practice before the event as well for charge of 50 Euro per day for Finn and 30 Euro for Snipe under damage deposit of 400 Euro.

Accommodation:

Sailors and accompany persons can stay at Moscow Sailing School hotel just near the place where charter boats will stay. Approximate price is 20 Euro per night for one person (3 times per day Meal is included into the price of the accommodation). Organization committee is considering to make free of charge accommodation during the regatta for sailors, which are officially delegated by their Universities or by their national Student Sport Union.

The reservation of the rooms and charter boats should be done by July, 15

 
 
Open Russian (www.open-russian.ru ):
Russian Finn Association and Moscow Sailing School are pleased to invite you to the International regatta “Open Russian 2017” – Open Championship of Russian Finn Association, which will be held on Klyazma and Pirogovo Lakes in Moscow from August, 22 till August, 27

Equipment & format of competition

The competition will be held in class Finn in absolute rate and in the following categories:

·         ·Juniors – sailors U24
·         ·Masters – sailors over 39 but under 50 years
·         ·Grand-Masters - sailors over 49 but under 60 years
·         ·Grand-Grand-Masters - sailors over 59 but under 70 years
·         ·Legend - sailors over 69
·         ·Ladies
·          
Format of competition – 12 fleet races and one medal race.

Place:

The Championship will take place in Moscow Sailing School (www.sailingschool.ru) which hosted the 49-er World Championship, the Finn World Championship (Gold Cup) in 2005,  Junior Finn World Championships (Silver Cup) 2007 and 2011, International University Sailing Cup 2013-2016 and Open Russian regatta 2008-2016.

Conditions of Entry:

Open Russian is open event. Eligible competitors shall register at the regatta web-site http://open-russian.ru  before June, 15, 2017. The Entry Fee is 80 Euro for senior sailors and 10 Euro for Juniors.  

Charter boats can be provided for participants

One fully equipped Finn boat (Devoti 2004, build for Gold Cup 2005) and one mast (Hit Mast, bend numbers are available)  can be provided by Moscow Sailing School to each participant for charter on demand for charge of 150 Euro for the event under damage deposit of 400 Euro. You are invited to bring your sails and personal equipment only.

The charter boats for Juniors will be provided free of charge under damage deposit only.

The charter boats can be provided for practice before the event for charge of 50 Euro per day under damage deposit of 400 Euro.
